OYP group is such an asset to the Orangeburg Community. For the last three
years, the OYP has hosted an event to support the Orangeburg Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The event, Bark in the Park, not only helps
raise money for the needy animals of the Orangeburg community, but it,
simultaneously, assists in generating awareness about this organization, which
is equally important. I have volunteered with the Orangeburg S.P.C.A. for the
last six years, and I served a term as their Vice-President as well
as served in various other roles within the organization. Since my
involvement in the S.P.C.A., the OYP was the first group who, collectively,
came together to examine the needs of not only the S.P.C.A. but other deserving
and needy organizations, too, and took action to help them in some way.
Our community is blessed to have such a talented, dedicated group of young
professionals who value the role of benevolence."
